Naturally, Shaunelle does not really want to get out in public much while she recuperates from her surgery. So, we have not been out and about discovery Guadalajara. Before we came, I did not think she would want to leave the hotel much which is why I spent some of my travel points on a nice hotel room for her. We stayed at the Hotel Posada the first two nights because it is very close to the surgery clinica. It was nice, and had a very Mexican vibe to it. However, two nights on that hard bed was killing my back.
Even though I have had a very limited view of Mexico, I need to understand why so many Mexicans are willing to go to America illegally... Everywhere I have looked people are employed in jobs you see anywhere else. Actually the city looks kind of crowded like a Japanese city does; some things are very similar. I guess the country and small towns have it harder. I am interested in doing some research into the unemployment rate of Mexico. Is America really a better place to break in to??
Shaunelle seems to be recovering okay. Of course, being one of her closest friends, I felt it was my duty to share my sinus infection with her as we began our travels. I am happy to report that I am 99% over the sinus problems for now. SHaunelle had to suffer with the worst of the sinus problems just after her surgery. Aren't I just the bestest friend ever?? Once the swelling goes down, and the bruising goes away, I think this small surgery will have a huge impact on making her even prettier than she was before.
So, in keeping with my previous post, I hit the "gym" here at the Hilton. I did some lifts from a great book that seems to put together a lot of the bodybuilding wisdom of the last few decades. WELL, I had to stop the workout after about ten minutes... I am more out of shape than I thought; my legs are killing me with tons of lactic acid build up.
However, this is not discouraging, but actually the opposite! I am ready to get back into shape, and this first little workout was very exciting.
