So where should I live in Portland?

NW or SE, what attributes are you looking for in a neighborhood?

I like the east side better because most of my fav restaurants/shops are over there, plus it's easier to bike and stuff. But I'm prioritizing a nice apartment over location for the most part, I'd prefer to be in an older building with nice lighting, details, hardwood floors, etc., for under $1,000/mo. It seems like there are quite a few in NW.

Where are you exactly? I haven't been to your new place yet!

Those were going to be exactly my points. Better selection of restaurants and shopping in SE, but I think the apartments are better over here. And NW is very walkable.

We're at 18th and Couch, you should come over some time!

Basically. Will you be around tomorrow evening? I'd like to check out your place. I'll be in Portland tomorrow afternoon/evening and then I'll be gone Saturday-Wednesday to visit family. And then the next weekend I'll be moving and then that Monday I start work! AGH! REAL LIFE!

For sure! Supposedly I get off at 7:30 tomorrow, but it looks like it's going to be a slow day, so I don't really know when I'll get off. I can text you though if that's ok.

Yeah, sounds good. I'll probably have dinner with a friend before that, so whenever after 7:30/8-ish would be fine.
