I went over to eddieriff's place to celebrate the birthday of the teen son which he and his partner just adopted not too long ago. It was really great to see eddieriff as I haven't since last summer. I knew he lost weight, but was still surprised with how much weight he lost and is maintaining a great shape. It was also a bit of nostalgia as he looks like he did when I first met him 10 years ago (he was 16 at that time).
The fact they threw the kid a party with cake and really nice Lego kits just shows how they continue to help just about anyone out there and it is just really sweet. I don't believe the kid has really ever had a nice birthday party before.
Everything else has been kinda blah around my place. Since the promotion at work, I don't have nearly the free time I used to and I think I'm still figuring out how to adjust to this.
No really big movies are out at the moment either. Saw Underworld Evolution and really liked it. However, I haven't seen any of the other popular ones like King Kong or Brokeback Mountain.
What still gets me are those creepy BK commercials. I found this gem below:
