why is it that
the hardest thing
is to have things come naturally?
and why do mouths open
and minds think
but no words are spoken?
why is it so hard to find
a piece of mind
that is not tainted
with thoughts of others
with cries, and suicides
with stupidity
and an unwillingness to give two shits
about anyone or anything but themselves?
why is unique a fad
and smoking sad
and why
why do we refuse to die when it is clearly
our time to go
and move on when we are not quite ready
and letting go is seen as a sin?
and sin is all things that we love?
why must life be dull
in order to be pure
purity has the wrong definition
it should mean uncultured
and bare
with no thoughts and no cares
and why is love so hard to find
why does it haunt you
and taunt you
when it should do no wrong?
why do hurt and love go so hand in hand?
god must be a sadist
life is cruel
but life is so sweet
but some do not understand
it is sin and love and knowledge
that takes a man
and makes a man
and molds a man
into something;
something worth being rewarded.
