Let me just say, Greenday puts on the most unbelievable show in all of rock history.
No, i havent seen every show in rock history. But trust me.
So me and Rikky drove up to Manchester Friday night to see Greenday. We got there and realized we had pretty crappy seats, so we moved up to the front and luckily no one kicked us out!
My Chemical Romance opened...they were really good. I am always impressed when a band sounds the same live as they do on their cd. It's rare lately...sad. But anyways, they had a real short set but they were good...I liked every song they played. I bought their sweatshirt too. It's pretty sweet...it says REVENGE across the front and has two guns on the back...it sounds kind of violent but i love it. It's fuzzy.
After MCR a man dressed in a pink bunny suit came out and danced. And chugged Jack Daniels.
THEEEEEN Greenday. Now,I have always liked Greenday but was never one of those obscessive people who get down and praise them and such. But after this show I think I want to marry Billy Joe and have 27 children with him just in the hopes that his amazing voice, talent, and charm (with my good looks, of course) will be further spread throughout the world.
I dont even now how to desribe it...but they had the perfect mix of new and old songs to please everyone (i.e. brain stew and longview for me and boulevard of broken dreams for the chubby 12 year old two seats down) and even played random songs like Shout! and we are the champions!
It was absolutely incredible.
I got to sleep by 2 and woke up at 7 to go run in a track meet, then get home for 2 hours and go to work until 9:30 at night, only to wake up the next morning and work 11-4:30.
But other than that last part my weekend kicked ultimate ass.
actually even track and work wasnt that bad.
