So I've taken up kiting. For those who believe I mean I have a little diamond of cloth on a wooden frame with bows on it held in place by a single string, it's not that kind of thing.
I've got a mate at work who is as keen a kiter as you can get, he boards, and buggies and surfs, as well as static flying. He talks about it ceaselessly and after hearing about it for all this time I was persuaded to go out with him one day and had a go. Suddenly I understood why he was so obsessed. I have since purchased a kite and landboard and have been out with my own kit once.
That was Tuesday.
Thursday morning I woke up and my left shoulder has somehow been damaged in my sleep. It's still hurting now, I have nearly full mobility but it's pretty painful when I put any weight on the arm or when I move my neck beyond a certain point. So finally I have my kit, I've been on the forums and found a fair few local fliers, and now can't get out there.
Incredibly annoying.
So here I am reading about flying when I'd much rather be experiencing it.
