So for the last week or so the car has been misbehaving slightly, when the engine is cold and there's any kind of incline, it was really unresponsive. The problem always goes away when I get to level ground, or after a few minutes at any angle.
Then, the cooker decides that it wants to kill us all in our sleep, turning itself on in the middle of the night, needless to say we're not using it anymore and need to find a new one. Fortunately my father-in-law has said that he would essentially lend us the money for a new cooker, by way of a sub on future works I shall do for him (there's always something that needs doing).
So we went out yesterday to look for a new cooker. Unfortunately living in the southwest we couldnt find anything open on a Sunday, so we decided to go looking today. However the engine trouble I had previously been experiencing, went away, it drives fine now, but on the way back from Frome the engine malfunction light came on. Chances are it's a faulty sensor, but I can't be sure of that. A quick search of the saab forums does indeed seem to suggest that it's a sensor malfunction as if there was still a problem it would probably put the car into "limp home" mode, which it is not doing. But of course I can't make that assumption. I called our garage today, no answer, so it must be shut for the bank holiday, which means that I am going to have to drive the car tomorrow to work and then call the garage from there and see if they can fit it in any time soon.
So I have a busted cooker, a busted car, and no funds. To further exacerbate the problems, if I do have to take the car to the garage it means an 8 mile walk back from there and then an 8 mile walk back to the garage once the car is fixed. Oh and I wont be able to get to work all the while the car is in due to the 20 mile distance to work and no public transport to speak of.
What's the expression? Fuck My Life?
