(no subject)
since two weeks ago...
i didn't get my car back until four days ago, but i was happy to get it...apparently, due to a missed call or something, the insurance company arrived at the auto repair shop, having decided to total my car (...the shop couldn't find a used replacement hood, instead they had to get a new one, which increased the price by $600, negotiations to have it paid for were confusing...) but got there a few hours after they had finished all the repairs ^_^ miscommunication rocks
i went to lizaby's party friday evening : D n met pat's friend kristina...it was fun despite the fact that a couple of us were kind of down, and people left early (understandably) because julian was out in the cold without anywhere to go; later slept at ellen's with jim, dave and julian, again nice to see everyone
didn't have to worry about work, my boss "forgot" about my having missed a shift : D so i still have a job...they closed early on saturday for crazy amounts of snow, so i got to go to the rave without finding coverage
even with crazy amounts of snow... maddie's friend matt drives amazingly well. he sweetly agreed to pick me up at 6ish saturday on the way to springfield, n we drove through the blizzard, making the one hour trip in only two and a half hours. maddie n devon went inside while me n matt wandered between the parking garage, a nearby hotel, and the asylum door in zero degree windchill and two foot snowdrifts ^_^
once we got inside, the rave was okay...not very many people (but those who came braved the craziness, so most were "real" raver kidz) n it stayed cold.. later it was better as many of you know; i met a bunch of cutey awesome people n had fun for the most part.. now that i know some people, and went to two parties, i'll make sure to actually enjoy myself at the next one : D
poor david bowie got the flu : ( and the concert was indefinitely postponed... chris suggested that we go visit him with cookies and presents to make him feel better ^_^ and i was all for it...despite the fact that we would look like groupies
dimmu borgir, as well as nevermore, hypocrisy, and children of bodom, were more than amazing. i can't even describe how awesome they were... although my neck is kylling me from rocking so much ^_^
greta n zach were cute n it was good to spend time with them as always...
saw godspell n drove for the first time ever in really bad snow. the car handled the snow relatively well, i managed not to skid too much, except once when i turned too suddenly (the point at which i decided to wait for the plows, n went to work late instead). i need winter wiper blades! the ice kept packing onto them...
so far abby, steve, chad, and jordan are definitely all coming in december (and hopefully leslie!!)...i love them and can't wait to see them
