And prompt? Hmmm ... Toews/Kane and victory celebration :)
How have you been?

He braces himself, both physically and mentally, because this? This is going to be big. This is going to be bigger than winning the Stanley Cup, which he didn't think was possible. Jonny slams into him and they almost go down in a tangle of limbs before Sharpie steadies them. They scream and shout and celebrate for a moment, before Jonathan gets a grip on his sweater and pulls him in.
The kiss is intense, slick and salty from the sweat still clinging to them, and the fact that thousands, if not millions of people are watching it makes his heart pound in his chest. Someone tries to remind them of the crowd, suddenly dead silent, and the cameras, but Jonathan just growls and pulls him closer ( ... )

ADORABLE. I was hoping you'd use the shoot out tonight in this. Not a great 2nd but the guys are looking good this year. I'm even on board with the whole Kane as centre thing, though I still miss him and Toews being on the same line. Thank you!
Baby sick or in general sick?
I'm actually sick as well so I'm not happy. :( I make a miserable patient because I never want to do anything to make myself better. I have a hard time shutting down and resting and generally being bored.

I'd just been talking to Charlie about the shootout, so that's what popped into my head first. :D I'm just hoping that this season is better than last season.
I have a head cold. This is bad in two ways: one, I have a history of getting sinus infections from these things, and the treatment for that isn't really good for Kas. Two, I took so many vitamins it wasn't funny, kept warm and dry, got plenty of sleep, and even let Tommy do nasal washes (which if you go back in my journal you find me bitching and moaning about how much I hate them), in hopes of *avoiding* this.

I hate sinus infections! I have the whole head cold thing too. A little vix and a ton of vitamins and cold meds for me. I actually called in sick to work today, for the first time in maybe my whole life, and spent the day on the couch watching crappy tv. I should do the nasal wash thing but I'm always afraid of drowning, it's never pretty.
My mom sent me this mid-wives tale of how having an onion in the room where you sleep will help to draw out the bacteria and help you feel better. So I've brought one home and will give it a try, the worst thing that can happen will be it won't work. Otherwise I might as well give it a try.
I'll send good get-well thoughts your direction! I don't want your cold to migrate into sinus infection territory and be bad for Kas. So get well soon!

Yeah, they fucking suck. I ran away to a friend's house because I didn't want to be around my family (they get really worried when I get a cold now, which really just grated on my last nerve) and haven't left the (giant) couch for more than trips to the bathroom and kitchen. I can't do the washes on my own for that same reason.
An onion? Huh. Let me know how that works out for ya. And you get well soon too!
