UGH, what a week.

Left work early yesterday (I guess 10am is early LOL) and bit the bullet after a comment from Fiona and finally went and got some antibiotics. I got to the point I couldn’t talk without having a coughing attack. It was right in my lung again and I could feel it. I’m pretty sure it was/is a chest infection. I rang Diana’s colleague (she’s on leave) to ask her opinion. She said I needed to get myself better. Diana can look next week about rebuilding my immune system and giving me more good bacteria to repair after these antibiotics.

I took 2 tablets straight away and by night I had honestly started to feel like it had left my lung. I was still coughing but no where near as much and it didn’t seem to hurt in my lung the way it had been.

Today I’m no where near as bad. Fingers crossed by Monday I’m 100% better. I think without a doubt, this is one of the worst illnesses I’ve ever had. The pain is unbearable and it’s been a really horrible and scary feeling being unable to breathe properly.

Other health issues: for the most part this week, I’ve been seriously constipated. My bowels still haven’t been back to normal after adding all the stuff back to my diet the other week. I was going like clockwork every morning the second I got up pretty much. Now, sometimes 4pm, sometimes 9pm. It is SO frustrating, especially cause I feel like I need to go all day but can’t!

I’m guessing it’ll take a good 5 weeks for my bowels to recover. That seemed to be the time frame last time.

I do feel healthier not having the gluten and wheat in my system though I’m still in that can’t watch food ads on TV mindset - if I see pizza or pasta or bread or donuts (they are the #1 killer for me!) … I have to flick the channel cause that’s how unbearable it is!

My body feels absolutely healthier for it though. I put 2.5 kilos back on in those few weeks where I reintroduced everything. Now I seem to be losing it again. Its freaking amazing how the tiniest thing being reintroduced to your diet can make you gain weight back. This whole thing is still a massive eye opener for me.

TOUCH WOOD: but my stomach doesn’t seem to be bloating as much this week. The last time I thought that the symptoms resurfaced. I’m seeing Diana next Saturday so I’ll gauge how my stomach goes next week but so far, so good (just having from removed the sensitivities I came up with).

We have drinks on tonight which I’m looking forward to. I need some decent social interaction after feeling robbed from the cocktail party! Theres a really weird vibe in here today, everybody wanting to be close to one another. I think everyone feels pretty rocked by the London stuff. Everyone just seems to want to be close to one another etc so I think it’ll be nice tonight.

Going to go anyway. Can’t seem to concentrate on work though.
