Howdy
Week 8 of 2004 … feeling sicker than I was last week *GRRR* I have the worlds worst allergies. This humidity doesn’t help. I kid you not, the way the weather has been the last week and a half - I have never felt anything that hot since being in the desert in Arizona! It was ridiculously hot. I’ve never been so happy to have rain like we have today *cheers* it’s killing me. Sydney weather has never been this bad! Watch me whinge my ass off when it’s cold and rainy and winter! LOL
My weekend:
Friday I went home, did 2 loads of washing, watched some TV then fully passed out at 9pm - I couldn’t stay awake any longer!
Saturday I had to get up early to go to the dentist ($119 later *cries*) I headed straight over to Woy Woy to the beautician - as soon as I walked in Kelly goes “I’m going to dye your eyebrows today!” I was like “Ummmmmmmm?????” she knows what she’s doing though and I fully trust her, she’s a pro at her field of work. So she waxed my bikini line, tinted my eye lashes, tinted my eyebrows and then waxed my eyebrows. OMFG she did the BEST job ever on my eye lashes and brows. I bow down to that girl. Next time I’m taking her a present of some sort cause she rocks my world! LOL Words cannot explain how much I’m loving my eye brows right now!!!!
Afterwards I went to mum’s real quick. Debbie and Guy had bought Krispy Kreme’s so I ate two halves of different flavours (helped myself LOL) then headed off to Kmart where I got the Fleetwood Mac greatest hits and Dirty Dancing DVD for $16 - ROCK ON!
I did some grocery shopping then headed home, cleaned my bathroom, vaccumed etc. By this stage it was 2:30pm so I got ready for Sydney, showered, put make up on etc. Left around 4:10pm drove to the airport to pick Yvette up. I was early so I took a cruise to the international terminal *sobs* I love the airport! LOL On my second trip through domestic Yvette was coming straight out. We drove to Glebe to get Shiree then to Clovelly to Natalie’s … got there around 6:30pm and had a few pre drinks. Natalie was playing this great dance CD. Don’t know if I’ve mentioned but her apartment is SO freaking awesome. It has 180 degree views of the harbour. OMFG it’s amazing. I want to pack up and move in! LOL
We were goofing around and decided to finally leave at like 8pm - but nooooo, then we couldn’t get a cab (does NOBODY drive on Valentine’s Day?) we ordered 2, none ever came so we had to walk about 10 mins to the main street then waited a while longer for a cab. Seriously, all up we probably waited 1 hour for a cab. Which is unheard of! What, is it New Years Eve?? Did I get my dates wrong??
We finally got to Bondi Hotel and walked up to the roof. It was pumping. Such a good atmosphere. Great music, really balmy night. Views over the ocean for 360 degrees (that’s the name of their themed parties “360 degrees”) it was an awesome setting. Theres nothing like dancing in the Summer night air with breeze blowing through your hair kids! Tops!
Jason and a few of his mates were there (one was this UTTER dick) I was ready to karate chop him. We were being territorial about this podium and doing these arm swings/handbag bash movements to kick people off the podium we didn’t want up there. Worked every time ROFL
There were no real hotties. Not that I was hunting or anything, I was just enjoying my night with the girls. A few of Natalie’s friends were there too - Chad, Ryan and Mike. That finished at 11:30pm then we decided we were all hungry so walked the streets of Bondi. We walked past this restaurant and there were all these roses on tables for V Day and I go “Take one Yvette” so next thing she’s grabbed one and we’re walking off LMAO Then we stopped at these night markets and were being total idiots next thing I know I had this beaded scrunchi bit of junk in my hand and Yvette goes “TAKE IT” so I’ve got it on my wrist and I’m walking away ROFLMAO We ended up settling for Maccas *shudders* to eat cause nothing else was open. I got a cheeseburger happy meal … it sucked. Everyones meat patties were either under cooked or over cooked. Yvette took back hers and Shiree’s at one point - they gave them new burgers, Yvette opened hers and it was charcoaled, we lost it so I grabbed them both and took them up to the Manager and go “These are even worse!!!!!” he tosses them in the bin then gives us our money back. For the remainder of the time we sat there yelling to everyone “Is your burger burnt too?” ROFLMAO I guess it was funny when we were pissed! LOL
We then headed down to the nightclub at the hotel where we had free entry. It was ok. Not a very good club. Packed but I had the sorest feet. Yvette and I both did. Around 2am we decided to leave with Natalie. She picked up - I don’t get it. She’s the most anorexic thing I’ve ever seen, bones hanging out EVERYWHERE … it’s just gross. Yeah she’s a pretty girl but … I DON’T GET how guys are even attracted to her being as thin as she is. They seriously swarm her? What, do I need to lose 32 kilos to pick up!!??
Anyway ….
I crashed straight away. The smokey nightclub really screwed my allergies and sinuses up more! UGGGH
Woke up at 8am yesterday, we left around 9am and got home pretty quick. Jeanette came straight over and we went to Erina. She bought Brett this really nice watch for his 30th. She got him an afro wig for the party and some tacky earrings for her outfit. She also got some nice wine glasses for Mum to give Brett and we had to pick up a toaster for Mum cause hers was broken.
Me … I bought nothing! LOL I found one nice shirt for Brett but they didn’t have his size so I’m trekking to Grace Bros *AHEM* I mean “MYER” today (did you know they officially changed the name Gianina - it’s just wrong! LOL) to see if I can find it there. I have my heart set on that particular shirt!!! I couldn’t find a jigsaw for Natalie either. I searched low and high! *SNIFF* so my lunch break today is busy looking for presents! UGGGH!
I got home yesterday afternoon and watched 7th Heaven and Gilmore girls that I taped Saturday night then slept and did some ironing. Couldn’t stop sneezing or blowing my damn nose all day! UGGGH Then last night I made shepherd’s pie (didn’t turn out that fab LOL) and watched American Idol and a bit of Bridget Jones … was too tired so had to go to bed UGGGH
And now it’s Monday. Yvette’s last week *SNIFFLES*
Oh and as for Friday, as I suspected, Guys case got deferred. New date is March 26. Happy birthday to you for March 27! LOL I’m kinda done with that whole drama to be honest. I’m sick of hearing about it from Mum, Jeanette and anybody else. Next topic ….
