If you are a player in a role-playing game, how would you rate your character? Would you say you have molded, or are molding your character into ideal bard, alchemist, or brawler that you want it to be in the future? Would you say you've already achieved that goal, and is ready to work on a new path? How would you put it?
When it comes to RPG's I think it's safe to say - I suck. I tend to have a total disregard for the point system, the stats that I need to work on, the things I should get, the quests I should take. Unless someone corrects me, I'd just do whatever pleases me, whatever I think is amusing in the game. I rarely take character building seriously. Come to think of it, I may never have.
I wonder - if my behavior towards such things, reflect my behavior in real life?
Perhaps, at some point it does. But, I'd like to think that deep inside, it's not. Because unlike in games, I have a real goal that I want to achieve, not something that I was told to aim for because it suits my character's build best. Besides, as far as game characters go, you can always delete and start over. It will take you longer than you've wanted, but at least you're still in the game.
--- As long as you don't lose your focus, right? The most important thing for you.

Speaking of important things, why is it, that most people seem to spend more time on trivial things, than the ones that they claim to be most important for them? If it's important, shouldn't it be a priority - something that one does not take for granted. If it's there, grab it. If it's not, get to it. It seems pretty obvious. But, aa, somehow the trivial matters triumph.
I suppose everyone has their reasons. Just that, when I look at it that way, I guess, I'm not the only one whose priorities are a bit screwed up, or, the only one who makes a list of priorities, but rarely lets it be reflected in his everday life.
Haa. I wonder --- What's the most important thing for me right now?
