All is Well
Both my mother and my mother-in-law warmed me yesterday on the phone by making a fuss over my croak. I will probably slide into full-on loss of voice later today, but no worries because the onset of crud means the end of the semester -- grades calculated and submitted. This always happens: I forbid my body from taking ill until I have time to devote to rest. I turned in paperwork Tuesday and started my holiday Wednesday. Hence, I'm sick! Yay! It must be Winter Break. Dance, or -- okay -- don sweats and warm socks, and put your feet up on the couch with me.

James Franco's bizarre and delightful stint on General Hospital. Enjoyed Joel McHale's shout-out on The Soup last night. "Did you lose a bet?" Very slashy, actually. Joel looked so fond as he asked James's image on the screen behind him.
Finally started the Aubrey/Maturin series. Loving Master and Commander. Didn't expect the humor.
Caught Fringe this week. I tried the first three or four eps of the series and abandoned it, but what I saw could lure me back. Tres X-Files. Hmm.
