29 Years and Counting

Oct 27, 2009 21:31

Birthdays, for me, are a funny thing. I was born in 1980. My mom was born in 1960. We can both guarantee that on our birthday, the last digit of our age will be the same last digit of the year. So when 2009 came about, I didn't have to think twice about my mom's age: I knew she'd be 49, which meant that I'd be 29. The problem with my math is that I ( Read more... )

But you know, Tennessee has really nice weather. Unless you count that tornado that one time..(I'm recalling living in Nashville for school).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :) Many, many, happy returns.

I went to Vanderbilt! SOoo preppy! I did not quite fit in, but it's a nice, expensive school, with TWO used book stores in walking distance. It was '95 to '99.

Vandy! I never thought about applying there, as it was too expensive. Alas. But here's something to flip you out: you were at Vandy the same years I was in high school. :)

What was your major? And professionally, what do you do with yourself? :)

Yes, and if I had to do it again, I'd save my parents money and go to a cheaper school! My mom wanted me to go to a "name" school, and I didn't try to argue with her. I double majored in Biology and Computer Science. Went into computers for work.

You were in HS when I was in college?! *gasp*. Luckily I am only 2 years older than you so I don't feel THAT old.. I think.

I miss Chick-fil-a!

So you went through school fast, eh?

Where are you living now that has no Chick-Fil-A? I'd die without their milkshakes. DIE.

I think I started early, because I wanted to go to school just like the boy who lived down my lane (perhaps I just wanted a lunchbox), and then I managed to get past my school's age cutoff policy. There was a guy I knew at Vandy who was 18 and a senior, so he started at 14! Now that's going through school fast.

I don't think I've had the milkshakes. I'm thinking of the curly fries. Yum. No Chick-fil-a's in Westchester, NY. ALSO NO KRISPY KREME! Oh the humanity! There's one in the international terminal at JFK, whoop de do, you need a plane ticket. I'm not bitter.

Awww...well, if you ever come to visit, we'll hit both Chick-Fil-A and Krispy Kreme at once!
