NO PROGRESS
Yeah, I can admit that. Chapter eight remained allusive as my brain devoted itself to launching the new Odyssey Workshop LJ (which can be found here:
odysseyworkshop), working on critiques (why yes, I'm doing those again!), and finishing up two novels I started back in January that were taking FOREVER to read and therefore weighing down my brain function. A lot got done last week, just no progressive word count.
I did, however, get some feedback from
digitalclone regarding my first seven chapters. It's funny how far I've come. Four years ago, the feedback would've paralyzed me and forced me to start over in order to incorporate the new ideas and/or do what I should've done all along (some of the changes I'll make in draft two are scenes I knew I should've done straight away, but tried to avoid doing regardless), but now, I can take the critique for what it is, let it stew, and keep moving. Not that I kept moving last week. But at least I didn't start over.
And that's it. With any luck, next week will bring a report of more substance. :)
