Facts & TV

Facts:

1) The mole was benign.
2) Activia yogurt works.
3) I removed my one stitch on Monday. I am absurdly proud of myself.

TV:

1) Pushing Daisies: absolutely delightful. While I wonder about the long term prospects for the show (and not because I think it'll be canceled, but in that I wonder just how long they can keep Ned and Chuck from accidentally touching), it's fantastically done. Worth tuning in each week.

2) Bionic Woman: still not thrilled. This episode was a little better, but I don't think the writing in and of itself is very good, I don't like the actress playing Jaime Sommers, I don't like Jaime Sommers, and the kid sister? I want to smack her. Right now, the show lacks direction, and a solid plot, and everything we've seen so far reminds me too much of Alias, only, they're not doing it nearly as well or as believably (comparing first seasons, that is). I think I'll give it one more episode. I liked Isaiah Washington though, for what it's worth.

3) Cavemen: it wasn't as bad as I feared it would be. But it wasn't funny. It wasn't painful, but it wasn't funny. Yawn.

4) Carpoolers: it had some moments, and I liked Aubrey a lot, as he amused me, but overall, meh.

So it looks like, at this point, I'll only be adding one show to my roster. I plan to check out Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles when it premieres in January, but only if it doesn't conflict with Lost and Battlestar Galactica (or any other shows I watch).

Oh, and the season premieres of My Name is Earl and The Office absolutely rocked. This is how you do comedy, ABC, though on the other hand, ABC gets "comedy" right when it's not INTENDED to be comedy: Desperate Housewives, Boston Legal, Ugly Betty, and now, Pushing Daisies. Notice any similarities? All of these shows are an hour. Hmm...
