I believe I have. I know that we have been kidnapped and are meant to live together as a "family", or be punished. We do not yet know why we are here or why we need to do such.

And that's the basic story, yes. Although even good behavior doesn't mean you'll escape without punishment. This place is strange. I suspect it's a VR simulation, and the parameters can be changed at any time. They've poisoned the milk and forced us to drink it. We've fought off zombies. We've fought off monsters.

We may have to endure a lot. Please be careful, Louis.

[A simulation? Sci-fi tech wasn't foreign; some of the worlds the battle had been fought between God and the Devil had, in fact, been scientifically advanced. Still, for a simulation...to capture him...that was unthinkable.]
