Look! Another update!

What? What do you want? One post a month isn't enough for you people? Sheesh.

I've changed things so that anyone who's interested can check out my journal. So hello strangers!

Work: I finally got the paperwork I needed to transfer to my new unit. But as it was a friday, and a lot of people had uniform inspections and the like, there wasn't much going on and I didn't get too much accomplished. But, i have my own office, and a good sized one at that! I've already had to shoo two warrent officers out as they were eyeing it for themselves...Back! My office! Sure, it doesn't have a window, but it's off the beaten path so it's hard for people to poke their heads in and check to see what I'm doing. I'm right across the hall from the Seargent Major (the senior enlisted marine of the command), and the Executive and Commanding Officer is right down the hall, so no loud music and I need to be on good behavior.

Of the people in the command I've met, I've yet to find someone I don't like. But i'm sure there'll be one or two somewhere...meh. But, with my 'excess of personality' (as archmage45 once said), I'll be sure to warm the cockels of their hearts.

Family: Anna is a little girl. She's not a baby anymore, nor a toddler...she is a little girl, and she's going to be 2 here in November. Where the hell did the time go? She was this little blob on my arm, snuggled in and sleeping, and now she's this little person who'll come up to me, blabber something in a language I am apparently not smart enough to understand, then drop a book in my lap with a declaration of 'Book!'. So, like the well trained father I am, I'll pick her up and read her the book. Twice even.

Zoe has also grown. She's a hearty young lass. I think she'll wind up bigger than Anna, but that's just a guess because I don't remember how big Anna was at this age. But Zoe just seems larger, as if she's got more her to grow into. She's crawling very well, but in a military low crawl that would make any Marine proud. And while her vocabulary is limited to about 3-4 combinations of syllables, she's very loud. Very Very Loud. And it doesn't help that her, Anna and Erica will get into "Lets talk by making loud noises." conversations, much to the chagrin of yours truely...

Zoe: "AAAAAHHHH!!"
Anna: "AAAAHHHH!!"
Erica: "YAAAAHHHHH!!!"
Reggie and Yann: *sigh*

As for Erica, well, she has her own Journal at rikkashaye so I'll let her speak for herself. :) It's safer that way.

The Dog: can't forget about Reggie, now can we? He's doing well, as any crotchity old man constantly awoken by loud whipperschnapping children can be. I don't know how he manages to survive on a measly 20 hours of sleep a day.

World of Warcraft: For those of you familiar with this game, you can find me on the Earthen Ring server, playing a dwarven Paladin named Yannosh (yeah, real original, neh?). I play it mostly at night when Erica and I aren't watching The Muppet Show (Season One on DVD Baby! Need to pick up Season One of Fraggle Rock too...). I'm on a Role-Playing Server, which I recently switch to from a Player-VS-Player server...I'm having tons more fun playing because the interaction between me and the other players is notches above "Dude, you suxxor! Noob! My pee hurts!" (That last comment being something I actually heard over general chatter). Warcraft also fills the Role-Playing hole in my life at the moment, as it's hard to find people to come over and game. Much easier to jump on the computer and smack some trolls with my dwarven hammer...Utahoya!

Warhammer 40K: Ok, so this is pretty much for Dave. My Thousand Sons army is coming along, with me doing the conversion work for my Lord on Throne. It's based off the WitchHunters Throne of Judgement, so it looke pretty hefty. My only problem is that there's Inquisitor Ironography EVERYWHERE!! By the time i'm done filing and cutting, I have lumps of metal that don't resemble anything...I ordered matching shoulder pads for all my Rhubic Marines, which makes them look much more uniform and cool, as well as having custom Sorcerers. While I like the one that comes with the box set, it has a stiff pose, and I didn't want 4 of them in my army. The Rhino and Predator look sweet with the Forgeworld extras, but I'm not sure what to do with the Dreadnaught. I'm going to have small pink and blue horrors over the base and model to represent the Warp Flames upgrade. And after I'm done assembling, it's time to paint! Whee! 2007 Grand Tournament, here we come!

I'll try and update a bit more frequently. No, really.
