AlexH/lumpyHey, for anyone casually reading the next couple of posts, I'm attempting to fill in my free time at work by captioning a few of my photos from Vietnam for album-purposes. I'm not allowed to use Livejournal at work, or any other blog for that matter. (Sieg Heil!) The only loophole I've found is blogging through Flickr! So anyway, I'm trying for a short travelogue here, but I don't know how in-depth I can get. Anyway..
Scenes like this are usually the first thing one notices when one gets into Saigon (and, I'm guessing, most Asian cities that aren't Tokyo). Streams of people on mopeds. Their flow of traffic seemed to make up a liquid body that easily changed form around large trucks and anyone stepping out into the street. I learned how to ignore them when traveling on foot. I was also on the back of one for half the time I was there, but only with someone I sort of knew. I was propositioned for rides by just about everybody waiting by the curb.
