(no subject)
Hey everyone that reads my journal, which I know there are only a few people, but those people are awesome.
Nipissing is amazing and I am incredibly happy that I chose this school over all the other schools that wanted me. My first month here has been, umm how can I say craptasticly good (kelly has heard about this)
Here is a list of things that went wrong the moment I got up here:
-The buliding itself was just finished 1 day before we got here meaning September 1st.
1:We were not allowed to drink the water until about the second week.
2:The luverly interenet which people here are addicted to, and now me as well, was not hooked up until our second week of living here.
3:The paint was still wet in my room when I got here and have paint all over my blankets. but that's not all I had workmen in and out of my room for my first week here trying to fix it plus they did not even call to say they were coming here. I'm talking like they had massive fans in here, they also used varsol in here and I couldn't sleep in my room the night before my first class. They then repainted the wall of hell. you would think that it would end there but no, where they luverly workmen did not paint is still tacky and yet again after getting all the paint off of my blankets is now back where it was before and on my towels. they are coming in during week to repaint the entire wall again and need all of my roomates out of here because the stuff is pretty strong smelling.

4:We didn't have tv like all of the other residences because they wanted to give us satalite but that didn't come till 2 and half weeks later. the other residences have cable and 70 channels. we have 24 channels and at least 5 of them are ctv AND out of the 25 channels only 15 work. Talk about being jipped.
Now that the residence part is done lets continue...
-2 out of 3 of my roomates don't like me for some reason and they made it obvious. I mean it sucks, I've never had someone not like me for no reason at all before, but that is okay because I have Claudine.
-when i got here i went to the technology services because i have a Mac and they are very non existent here and the evil guy says "Oh, ummm well we don't support Macs here..." where i then interjected "you said you did on the website" where he then said "oh well, you have to go get certain programs for the internet to work and you can get them at Staples" (which i have grown to loath) so i went to staples on the second day here where they told me they didn't have any programs for Macs but can order them and get here in like 5 business days... 20 F*CKING DAYS LATER... they call and say oh that place doesn't have them anymore. by this time i had called them numerous times asking about it where they claimed there was no such order and hung up on me. when they did call they said they could order it from somewhere else which i flatly told them no and for them to give my money back. My roomates were nice enough to let me use their computers so i could communicate with home, which when i was on the net two fridays ago i ordered the stuff off of the Mac website and got the things last wednesday. talk about service, they sent it like in 3 business days. I have been on the net since last wednesday and have continued to please my ever growing addiction to the internet. Staples is the devil and shall burn in hell. The people that work at Staples in Aurora certaintly have my appreciation because they are nice. Not the North Bay one though sucks to the core.
the only other crappy thing is that a totally nice and cute guy and i were you know flirting back and forth. (he lives on the thrid floor, i live on the second floor) Whenever i did my laundry (thursday nights) he'd miraculously come and do his so we'd talk. The part where we both we single came up and yeah it was great, but alas he got himself a girlfriend friday night. to which my awesome roomie Claudine put a post-it note on his door saying "Jess (with the pink hair) who live on the second floor thinks your hot" i love being so juvenile. She signed it anonamous but I can only imagine how people have seen it, but yet again if it's mentioned I know nothing of its existence. So I'm slightly Bruised and Broken, but there is nothing like hometime to cure that.
one crappy thing happend last night but there we really nothing anyone could do. A close family friend who was like a grandmother figure to me and my sister, passed away in her sleep, so that blows major portions of donkey balls. I'm coping somehow, didn't sleep much last night and its not like I can't go to my classes, I have to go to them.
now here is the awesome parts.
-I totally love my classes and most of the people in it.
-I have made several new friends here who have been so awesome and there for me throughout all of the bullsh*t. They definately helped my out last night when I found out about my family friend. They are willing to help me with my ADD and be note sharers like the student services suggested I have, which is soooo nice of them and I am very thankful of that.
-I made friends with 4 out of the 8 guys living on this floor so they have my back whenever I need something or as they have offered to move anything that I cannot move myself. I will use that to my advantage
-There are plently of hot guys here so I have a few plesent distractions.
-Claudine is so nice and lives close to Schomberg so a ride situation has been solved.
-Student services has been so helpful and accomidating to my ADD and have given tons of things for me think about.
All of the awesome parts have out weighed all of the bad things so I'm all peachy-keen.
I also get a reading week which is sooooooooo amazing that I am at a loss for words. That means 10 days of home time to see everyone!
