What would be your first inclination to right a situation in which someone has wronged you? If attempts to make a compromise crumble, is it revenge that you would turn to?

If you seek power, whether it is power you lost or power you are newly obtaining, it's by their hand-- one must ask the question whether they risk dooming themselves in helping us obtain it. But similarly, is the tradeoff enough? When we restore their world, will those acts become regrettable? Or would it be sweeter because of it, to stab their backs and rip out their wings with the very power they bestowed upon us?

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord."

[ it's not entirely pointless or anything that he's saying this, but more than that, Naoya is bored. certain goals seem unreachable through lack of power alone, should they be reachable at all. certain goals such as overpowering their benevolent captors. he had enough patience in the meantime to immerse himself within this environment, if that was what it took to regain his lost strength but it was frustrating not to be even the slightest bit productive.

if he could come up with the parts to build altered COMPs, perhaps that would increase the chances of staging a revolt-- but surely the gods had not overlooked these kinds of possibilities. it was more likely than not that even if the correct parts needed to build one were available to him, the summoning server would not respond.

so, for now he is left with little choice but to gauge his interest. there's a thoughtful hum as he rests his head against his hand. ]

I'm curious-- success rate aside, by what means can you advocate acts of revenge, if at all?
