Is this a wish list or a fill-it-in-when-it's-happened list (I hope it's the latter as otherwise your mind is very blank!). Or were you looking for recommendations to fill it up?

It's a fill-it-in-when-it-happens list. XD I've got a bunch of books that I'd like to read, and probably twice as much fanfic, so I figured it'd be a good idea to set a goal and put it all in a list as I pick through it. \o/

BUT IF YOU HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THEM. ♥♥♥

Maybe I should try that technique - I'm getting through fanfics like nobody's business, but books are another story (hee hee another story.. get it?).
Last count I had approaching 300 books on my to-read list...my shelves are overflowing and my house has no more room for bookshelves!

*O* I love being surrounded by books, but I'm just about in the same boat. I had to move my collection to the downstairs bookshelves, and in the process I realized I hadn't read a lot of those books yet. I just love having them. I buy them thinking, "Oh, I'll read them when I'm finished with _____" but I end up getting distracted by other duties. ._.

Me too! Guilty on all of the above counts. We have upsized our house 3x to accommodate my library...and I am trying to be more disciplines about buying more but - books are books, y'know...

I think it's a perfectly acceptable hobby to just keep collecting books, no matter if you read them or not. >>

I used to go to yard sales and buy the oldest books I could find. I found a beaten up German Bible from the late 1800s that way. ♥

The oldest book I have I found in the basement of Foyles in London, printed in 17th century, bound in parchment cost me 50p...it is so cool to own something that is so old even if it is all in latin and about something boring and unintelligible...

AH ISN'T IT JUST? That sounds fantastic! It's just like holding a piece of history.

My hubby likes the loom weight he found when we were on a dig in Italy better (well it is a lot older...but I love my little book!)

Alas we are not that interesting. We both did archaeology degrees then ended up in boring office jobs...such is life...
