NaNovel 2010 // Ayslum
OKAY. I know I've already updated tonight, but I've just finished the synopsis for my NaNovel, and I'm excited.
Ayslum;
Adeline Acer isn't a bad person. She's just made some mistakes here and there, broken a few rules. But at the end of her last big fight with her parents, mommy and daddy-dearest decide it's time for an intervention.
Cue an extended vacation to Ayslum -- home of the headcases. Unlike your run-of-the-mill asylum, though, Ayslum is its own city. Built on a system of threes and ran by a maniacal warden, it's all Adeline can do to survive the crazies, circumvent the degenerative system, and grapple with her attraction for one of the most dangerous patients of all -- a blacklisted boy just one strike away from execution.
And for the morbidly curious, that's pronounced EYE-slum. 'Cept the "eye" is more on the "aye" spectrum of things. Think like a pirate. :|
