I have officially bought a dry erase board/cork board half-n-half conglomeration. I'm using it to post all my college shit on.
slothfulzel and
sin_unforgiven spent the night last night. (
slothfulzel 's cousin was there, too, but he only stayed 'til about 1am.) We watched Supernatural, nommed out on pizza. I made them bracelets!
Theirs say "Dean" and "Sammy", respectively.
My head hurts. I've had about six hours of sleep. Went to bed around 3:30am, and Gideon woke me up at 9am.
So after watching Supernatural, we all watched the new Star Trek movie (which has fucking awesome graphics, by the way). Took
slothfulzel 's cousin home after that, then ran off to the local Pilot (24/7 gas station) and got some coffee. Romped on over to Walmart after that, because it's what the cool kids in my town do, and I ended up running into a guy (named Jared, funnily enough) who I hadn't seen in God knows how long. The fact that it was 2am makes everything all the more hilarious.
We talked for a bit about stuff, BUT THE POINT IS, I've been stuck in this town for a while, scared that I made the wrong choice by pulling out of my previous college, and talking to him brought me all sorts of new encouragement. Apparently he was sick of this town, too, and up and moved to New York to go to college. Was done with that after about a year and moved back down on a whim. He's trekking off somewhere else for his third year, and he's even got a brother who's moving to Boston here soon -- he seemed interested that I was looking into moving to Boston, in the, "OH ROOMMATE POSSIBILITIES" manner. We exchanged numbers, and went on our merry, tired ways.
So, yeah. It was encouraging. I got to re-realize why, exactly, I pulled out of that college in the first place, and I've got brand new inspiration and drive to get my ass into a university I actually want to go to.
In other news, you know you've got great friends when they stick with you to do volunteer work. The two deviants mentioned above are going with me today to help out at an animal rescue adoption promotion thing. It'll be awesome. I love them. I should cook them breakfast! (But I'm not sure I have the time. >>)
