Greetings, everyone!
As I'm sure you're all aware, our challenge deadline is fast approaching - only two days left until Dec. 2nd! (I, for one, would love to know what happened to November ...)
That being said, I've had a few people ask about a deadline extension, so here's what we're going to do. If you already know you're going to have your story finished and beta'd by the original deadline, fantastic! However, as of tonight, I'm officially extending the challenge deadline by one week, to Thursday, December 9th.
I've also been mulling over posting formatting, and this is what I've decided:
Everyone will be hosting their fic themselves (on your journal, on fanfiction.net, wherever you'd like) and simply posting a header and a link to your fic to this community. That way, all authors have free control over story formatting and comment monitoring. I'll post the official header format description here on the 9th.
As we've had a number of challenge casualties throughout the past weeks, there are now (assuming all drop-outs have contacted me) seven participants left standing. Since these fics are fairly long-ish, I thought it might be nice to space them out over the course of a week. Seven authors over a course of seven days appeases my math-challenged brain; which day you post will be determined by your username (we'll just go in alphabetical order, to make it fair.) Posting will begin on December 12th, the Sunday after the new due date. Thus, our posting schedule looks like this:
December 12th:
araineDecember 13th:
arlettylinDecember 14th:
cally_childeDecember 15th:
eatsyourfaceDecember 16th:
makokittenDecember 17th:
onidokoDecember 18th:
tsukishirou If you do not see your name on this list, please contact me asap! If your name is on this list but you're no longer participating, I need to know that, too. Also, I realize this is finals week for many of you (myself included), so if you have a scheduling conflict on your posting date, please let me know - we can shuffle dates around as needed.
Spreading posting dates out means that technically some people have longer to work on their stories than others, so just to keep things fair, I'm going to request that everyone e-mail me a copy of their story by December 9th. Formatting doesn't matter; I'll just be checking names off of a list. Obviously, you're still free to tweak as needed up until your posting date, but this will help ensure everyone has an equal time to get the bulk of their story finished. Please e-mail your stories to: o2doko(at)gmail(dot)com
December 9th is the deadline, but if you have your fic finished before then and would like to send it along, feel free to do so whenever. Just be sure to include something about Kuroshitsuji in the subject line, so that I don't accidentally miss your submission. Thanks!
If you have any questions or concerns about all this, feel free to comment here or contact me directly (either PM or e-mail to the above address is fine.) In the meantime, best of luck to everyone embroiled in finals and other end of the year craziness! I look forward to reading your stories!
