In Memoriam

My Mom

My mother taught me how to knit, how to do needlepoint, she also helped me out with my homework. She always helped me and was there for me. I still remember her helping me to study for my global history tests. My mom died, on August 1st of 2003, from colon and overian cancer. I will forever miss her.

My maternal grandparents

My granmother died in around 1999. She knitted my sister and I sweaters and various other knit things. She would make potato chips, cutting up potatos really thin and then baking them. She was there for all the holidays and birthdays. She always made them special and I miss her greatly.

My grandfather died in 1986. Even though my grandfather died when I was young I still have fond memories of him. I remember him taking my siblings and I to the corner candystore and tlling us we can pick any two candy bars we would like. I always picked a Hershey's and an M&Ms. He would come over to our house for our birthdays and for holidays. We would play pinocle after dinner.

My paternal grandparents

I remember that we would always go to their house and play. They would give us lunch and they always had a bowl of M&M's. They lived in an apartment in Brooklyn, I remember my siblings and I would often see which was faster us climbing up the stairs or using the elevator. Afew times we would press the button for every floor if we knew our family was the only ones in it. If not we would just race down the stairs.

Lisa Bernstein

I was in the same group of hers at Hillcrest Jewish Center Day Camp. She always had a smile and was really out going and a good person.

Alfred Guibert

We used to be in the marching band together, The Queens Village Youth Marching Band. We also played in the same section together, the Glockenspiel, but we were called the Belll section. Even though we didn't always get along, I miss him and will forever stay in my heart.
