Wilson Fisk was in prison. Bullseye was still eating applesauce through a straw. And Matt, Matt was still leading his double life of lawyer by day and vigilante by night.

It was a little easier now that the King Pin was behind bars and coverage of the Lisa Tazio case had brought attention to the Nelson and Murdock Firm. Life was...better wasn't quite the word for it. Matt still faced injustice every day in the form of a corrupt system and every night as the myriad of thugs, crazies and criminals who prowled the streets of Hell's Kitchen.

So no, not better but a small move in the right direction at least.

Even if he was still facing it alone.

Today was a good day for Nelson and Murdock at least. A payment had been made by a recent client. A payment that was in the form of Money. Not fish, not sports equipment or IOUs. This occasion had put Foggy into a wildly ecstatic mood.

"We're moving up Matt, things are gonna change." He'd declared as he urged Matt to get up and go with him on a celebratory dinner.

Matt had work to do later that night but the evening had just begun to creep in and Foggy's enthusiasm couldn't be denied. And so, Matt let his best friend lead him to a posh part of town for a 'fancy' dinner.

"It's all fine cigars and caviar from here on out, pal." Foggy crowed grandly as he stepped out of a cab and held the door for Matt.

"Foggy, you don't even smoke." Matt reminded him as he stood on the curb.

"Yeah, well..." Foggy acknowledged reluctantly.

"And since when have you liked caviar?" Matt continued.

"Since now." Foggy declared. "Geez Matt, way to be a buzz kill. I mean, I'm on top of the world one second-"

"Foggy..."

"An then you smack me down with your semantics the next. I mean really, no regard-"

"Foggy."

"for my feelings or anything. I know you're all about the now but let me have my moment, Matt. Let me have my dream."

"Foggy!"

"That's all I ask." Foggy finished and Matt shook his head, bemused.

"Foggy, I was only kidding with you."

"Oh, well yeah, I knew that." Foggy said quickly, pulling open the door to the restaurant for Matt.

"Geez man, lighten up." Matt said with a wry grin.

"Oh look who's telling me to lighten up." Foggy replied indignantly. "The guy who put the..." He trailed off as his head turned to follow an attractive woman as she passed by.

Matt laughed and stepped inside, leaving Foggy behind.
