...I used to buy computer parts like they were candy? Well, those days are long past. The last big puchase I made was for my video card, the Radeon 9800XT. It's still one damn good card. Pentium 4 cpu was an upgrade I got prior to that because I was really unsatisfied with AMD's processors. Of course, with 3ghz it's hard to be un-satisfied. To be honest, thanks to my preference to quality over cheap crap gear, this computer actually has another 2 or 3 years on it. Or more!
That said my sister's is a pile of steaming horse crap. She got some old parts of mine that, at the time were pretty good. Well that's been 5 or 6 years ago and if you keep up with technology that doesn't bode well for the little machine. So I will set it in it's raft and give it a Viking's funeral and partially repay my sister's generosity with my current computer. But don't freak out on me, Foster Fans! I am not THAT selfless! I just now purchased a whole new PC. Not just a part or two, but a whole tower...I decided to keep my two LCD monitors. Now I realize some people don't know a CPU from a GPU from SLI, so those people can stop reading from here on.

I figure this will be a great upgrade that will last me as long as this current machine has. Games these days are so damn detailed I can't play them with maxed settings as smoothly. At any rate, I'm a giant retard. It cost me $1,700.
