Ok, some jerky guy for the power company was just here with a whole slew of tree trimming equipment asking me if it was ok to cut down the cherry tree at the bottom of the hill. I told him it wasn't my property and he would have to ask the owners of the house. He said they needed to trim it because of the power lines. I said that was nice but again, I don't own the place, he would need to speak with the property owners. He then said that it would be great if they could get it done today. I told him the property owners were not home and I couldn't give him permission to do it. He asked, since the tree was on the driveway we share with the house at the bottom of the hill, if I thought that maybe it was on their property instead of ours. I said I really had no idea but that if Jessie (the lady who owns the house down the hill) was home and said it was on her property and gave him permission to cut the tree, then he could go for it. Otherwise, don't touch it. He seemed really annoyed and I was like "what part of 'I DON'T OWN THE PLACE' are you not undertanding?" As if I cared that he had a schedule. If it was THAT important, the power company could have called about it a day in advance and spoken with either mom or Carlos or left a message about it or something. To just show up and want to start hacking things down it ridiculous.
