I can just see an exterminator coming in and knocking on the walls and looking at sawdust piles.
"Yup, you got a goblin problem here, lady."
"Oh, shit, really? I was kind of hoping it was just nixies again."
"Yeah (pulling up his tool belt). Could be worse. I had a guy last week. Let the problem get way out of hand before callin’. Had a full hobgoblin ‘festation and even a nest of half-orcs. Ended up losing the whole porch."
"Wow. So what should we do?"
"I’d start by clearing away any festering pools of misery and hatred you have collecting around the property."
"Is that where they lay their eggs?"
"Nah, it’s just where the dark powers manifest and twist the once pure forms of elves into monstrosities. Some sand and a sinkwell outta take care of that just fine though".
(exterminator looks up in the attic, sees a few goblins scurrying away with his flashlight)
