This week's LJ Spotlights , musings, NekoCon and Corsets
I had to add wendylady2, I LOVE FASHION BLOGS!!!! And pictures of runway shows. aiyatheydidnt looks like it could possibly be fun.
I have no idea what i looked like at Sarah and Cat's wedding, I didn't see a mirror the entire night. Can't wait to see some wedding pictures.=o_0=; I was still sewing the blouse together right until Haley came to pick me up. Caysha was the Librarian, Pam a.k.a. Sketchy was the RingMaster, and i was the Steampunk SkoolMarm. I loved the big gold sun hat Caysha lent me. XD My outfit needs a snazzy jacket, and some gears would me nice. I even bought brass craft buttons at $1Tree. Just need the Jacket. Oh and the corset was a loner so I need one of my own now that I think about it, Errf. See all the sewing to make Lil' Robert's pirate Shirt, My blouse and then the skirt has filled me with the need to sew again! YAY! I love sewing! So I'm making Haley a pirate shirt for Christmas! I just hope i can find the shade of green in my mind, since I'm pretty sure "a tad lighter than Newman Library's book baskets Green" isn't an Actual color name. And Making Pirate shirts is just fun and simple. =^_^= If I thought I could pull it off I'd finish off the black loli dress. But I'm not a whizz at ... wait, maybe I could B.S. a peticoat. Hmmm. I'll have to remember this for later. And I'd need stockings... I'll see what'll happen. now I'm thinking outfit. =(_(=
I've been hanging on Facebook too much... you can post more than like 140 characters, that's like a brief rundown of Oreo's antics of the day. BTW he got a horrible giant abcess on his left side and shoulder. The thing was a 5-6 inch long oozing nightmare. 1) I now know more about cat hide than ever before. It's literally different than human skin. 2)I got him treated for $118, which was better than the $150 they qouted, and 3)true love is letting some one with an oozing flesh wound cuddle next to you, despite the oozing. Anette bought him a collar when the Vet said i had to bore a hole in his old one, she's a sweet heart.

And here is a useful blog I may have all ready mentioned, WeekEnd Designer. I love patterns where you just add YOUR measurments and make. None of that having to adjust from some one elses set of pre-set sizes. I think I want to do the tier dress. XD
NekoCon Is this weekend. YAY!! And the DFC has it's own Camera now! YAY!!
lastly i think I have a snowball chance in hell of finding the Ermine Sylvanian family set. That doesn't men i can't get it, I just don't know how long it would take. They're a club member item. the Japanese Club. Tamaboutique might help. they seem global.

MAKING CUSTOM CORSET PATTERNS is one of THE best set of directions I've seen. Then again I LOVE the Duct Tape method! XD (How to Make a Corset Using Household Items is a good read on the tape method too0Or another Favorite for the love to draft it and not cut up a T-shirt types, How to make a Corset - by a novice she reinvented the Wheel in a Good way! VERY good directions! BRAVO!
Custom Corset Pattern Generator for the flat fronted Ren Faire look. Great for pirates and the SCA! e How's How to Make a Corset Pattern looks like the Elizabethan pattern a lot.

You're going to need some Serious Hardware to make everything come out right, which you can get from Corset making, Haberman Fabrics, Dragon Town Class Act Fabrics or Costume.org has some links too. God only knows which still work though. Corsets and Crinolines dictionary

And I think Erin could have pulled the corset in another like 2-3 more inches and i would have been fine. BTW that's a GREAT post, the group has wealth of inspiration and information. most GOOD price shop's Doll House Puzzle kits are kind of awesomly facinating, or maybe I've just always wantd a japanese shrine and house. Beware of Engrish, not indecipherable, but still engrish'y. they have non Japanese houses too!
