Look what I stole from Becca...

"We’re from Rhode Island.. We drop r's and replace them with a’s.. a lot. We say "caa", "yaaad", "paaak" and "Nomaa" cuz those words arent said any other way. You know who Salty Brine is and you now what "No School Fosta-Glousta" means. We sure as hell don't go the speed limit ... if you’re not driving 80 on 95 or 295 then you’re not from around here so get out of the left lane! We know what fresh fish really tastes like and there is no other way to eat fish then to eat it from the Bay. We know what quahogs are. You’re judged by what high school you went to. We pass people on the right on Smith Street. (We know where Smith Street is and use it often) All good nights must end at The Oaks or Bickford’s. It's a grinda, not a hoagie, sub, or a hero and we wash it down with soda, not pop. We drink from the bubbla, we go to the beach down in Narragansett, you know all the guidos go to Scarborough, you know at least one boy named Vinny, Paulie, Guido, Joey, or Geo. 1 word ... WICKED and one negative response "nut- uhhhh" are used exclusively here. We drink coffee milk, the Mounties always win, we give directions by saying what things used to be and not what they are now. We think Buddy is innocent, we’ve had dances at Rhodes, we know Newport’s only for tourists, we drive while talking on our cell phones, we cut people off and we don’t know how to use our blinkas ... what is a blinka? It’s either the Yankees or the Red Sox ... pick one cuz you can’t like them both! We know pretty much everyone and we all have connections to "local celebrities" like Rocco Baldelli and Debra Messing. We can sing the Block Island Ferry Song and no matter what town or city we are in we can get home as well as tell you where the best hang outs and restaurants are. Rhode Island isn’t a way of life ...it’s the way of life ... or more so the only way of life."
