At least I had a bra on. And had gotten out of my pajamas and into regular clothes!

Okay, so I ALWAYS wear a bra any time I set foot outdoors. But I’m usually still in my pajama pants to run the kids to school if I know I don’t have to stop anywhere along the way.

So there was no Thursday 13 for me yesterday. That was because I didn’t have one already written and saved in my drafts - at least not a completed one. And the morning was spent in pure and utter chaos, then panic, then exhaustion due to a car breakdown. A rather EXPENSIVE car breakdown at the end of the high school driveway which ultimately led to me doing something I said I’d NEVER do again: apply for another credit card.

But, to my complete and utter surprise, I was approved for a Goodyear credit card for several times the amount of the repair & labor costs. I guess my credit wasn’t as screwed as I had originally thought. And I am so thankful for that! I’m also actually glad I have the card now, because this way I can actually have some repairs done on the road or out of town should the need ever arise. And that is a huge burden off my shoulders which I hadn’t even realized was sitting there. And? The car was repaired by the end of the day. I should have had them replace my busted-out headlight and fix my other light issues while I was there, as well, but there was so much on my mind I just didn’t even think about it.

It wasn’t as simple as a car breakdown, it actually involved me praying my car would make it the block from the school to the mechanic’s place because I had left my cell phone behind & couldn’t call for a tow.
That was really smart! AND I had Danny at home waiting on me to come get him for a chiropractor’s appointment to which we never made it. And no way to contact anyone.

After all was said and done, I was left with a pounding headache and STILL had to go buy groceries late that afternoon after getting the car back. I indulged in a bit of retail therapy for myself. I figured I was due! Dollar Tree makes me a very happy camper - and for next to nothing. The night went much more smoothly, as I became absorbed in Project Runway, then chilled out to Pineapple Express .

Today, April has been to the vet, and I am thinking of hitting up a thrift store or two after hitting the bank. I’m not sure about that, though. I’ve got a busy weekend planned and am wondering if I shouldn’t just stay indoors & be lazy. Or productive…but at least stay indoors?
