True to my word

I made last night a movie night, and what a night it was! Watched Sweet November, which starred Charlize Theron and Keanu Reeves. I dove into the movie having never even heard of it before, but found it delightful and uplifting in a strange way. And, for about four or five minutes, there is a scene with Frank Langella! Some of you who know me may be able to figure out why I got so excited over that!

Then I watched Velvet Goldmine before finally succumbing to sleep much earlier than I thought I would.

Speaking of movies, is anyone else as excited as me about this?

It’s Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. I had a YouTubed vid here, but apparently it was taken down. Sorry! But the IMDB page appears to have some great stills!

Oh, how I hope it comes to our local IMAX! But I kind of doubt it.

Speaking of movies, I took a trip down memory lane for today’s Thursday 13. These are 13 movies that I saw during my senior year in high school, and many were dates with my first boyfriend. Aww.

Thursday 13 - Week 29 - Movies from Belle’s Senior Year of high school (and maybe a bit of the summer right before):

1. Can’t Buy Me Love
2. Beetlejuice
3. Fatal Attraction
4. Good Morning, Vietnam
5. Hail! Hail! Rock n Roll
6. Hellraiser
7. Maid to Order
8. La Bamba
9. For Keeps
10. Dirty Dancing
11. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
12. She’s Having A Baby
13. And, my favorite of all, The Lost Boys. The original hot vamp movie!

What movies do you remember from your high school years?
