It’s nice to know that Twilight is still packing theaters. I got the opportunity to go see it again, this time with Zoot and her son. This was not only the first time I had seen the movie in the company of others, but also the first time I’ve somewhat experienced the theater-going experiences that some of you have blogged about. The times I’ve seen it on my own, there weren’t actually many people in the theater at all. This one was packed. I didn’t hear any annoying fangirls this time, either, but that’s a good thing, as my ability to tolerate obnoxious people is extremely poor. Since this was clearly my favorite movie of the past year - the last one I saw in the theater in 08 and the first one I saw in the theater in 09 - I am really glad it continues to do so well. I just hope I didn’t offend Zoot and LilZ’s olfactory nerves with my overly Febrezed hoodie….it was ALL I could smell once I unfolded it in the theater and covered myself with it!
There are so many movies I look forward to this year. Push. Knowing. Watchmen. My Bloody Valentine 3D (I saw the original). The Unborn. Bride Wars. Confessions of a Shopaholic (LOVE Isla Fisher! And Hugh Dancy stars, too!). I love the whole theater-going experience, but the movie industry has ripped me off badly before, and therefore I am trying to be very careful what I spend my movie dollars on. At this point, the only ones I know without a doubt that I will see in the theater are Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and New Moon (no official movie site yet, to my knowledge).
