Some folks have a “Butterfly Garden”

Currently: Photo-crazy!

(And, just to ruin my night, it appears my clickable smilies no longer work.  Oh well!  I’ll fix them tomorrow!)

As I was saying…some folks have a butterfly garden. It would appear that we have a SPIDER GARDEN! But can you blame them? We have all these pretty morning glories growing all around:

Aren’t they pretty when played around with in Gimp?

Now I guess it’s time for all you arachnaphobes to clear the room!

……….

This spider spun a web directly in front of our door one night, and I walked into it. Luckily, it didn’t get on me! But it immediately moved its web over to the side of the door. The following morning, both the spider and the web were gone. That night, it came back, and put its web out of our way. How neat is that? A considerate spider! It’s still pitching a web every night, though it’s moved over to the opposite side of the door, above it in the corner near our porch light. This thing eats good when the porch light is accidentally left on!

These guys were smart enough to avoid the web:

And there are SIX of these huge, yellow and black garden spiders in the shrubbery around our front porch:

I hope I still have some friends left after posting those! And yes, before any of you ask, you’re welcome to come hang out at my place anytime
