Current Mood: happy
Today I’m doling out bullets, because that makes it easier to understand when I hop from one thing to the next. This past week, things came to a pretty ugly head with me regarding my being moody, agitated, irritated, stressed, and sick of people. Well, things are now looking up a bit. A little bit has changed, though much has stayed the same. But at least my mood is better, and I have been so ready for that for quite some time!
These are a few of the things making me happy right now:
- Practice. Practice, practice, practice. Practice makes perfect, right? I sure hope so. I have a little less than two weeks to improve my endurance enough to take my skills assessment test. I’m not sure if it’s endurance so much as fighting off cramps. After all, I can push when I’m simply tired. But I have some cramps that I can push through, and some that only get tighter till I get off my feet and stretch some more. I take ibuprofen beforehand. I eat bananas. I work out at home. I have been scouring the internet for solutions to this pesky problem. I feel at this point that it’s not a matter of being tired. I’ve been ready; now my body needs to catch up and cooperate!
- Mini. That’s my doggie! She’s very appropriately named, as she weighs about seven pounds. And she’s so human it’s not even funny. Seriously. She can pick up on any of our moods at any time, and react in just the right way. So in that respect, she’s better than human, and she makes me (and the rest of us) very happy! DNA testing would probably reveal that she’s actually not even a dog!

- Sunglasses. My eyes are so sensitive that I need, and use, sunglasses even on pretty cloudy days. Not to mention, I just love this particular accessory. I’ve been known to keep the same pairs for years, now that I’ve trained myself to not leave them where they can be sat on and crushed. A few weeks ago, the two pairs that I alternated between have been rendered pretty much useless by way of breakage and constantly being lost. I’ve had to go shopping for new ones, so I was ecstatic to find designer knockoffs for $5.99 at the little mom & pop store I frequent! They have Choppers, Locs, fake Chanel, and my favorites, the fake D&Gs. Now that it’s payday, I need to go get a pair. I actually bought myself a pair of nifty ones from Dollar General’s “Designer Doubles” line for only $3, and saw some more of those I wanted to grab. And, they have some very pretty Hawaiian Tropic brand ones for $6. Is it tacky to admit to liking designer knockoffs/copies? I just love them, and can’t tell the difference….though someone who’s much more into fashion probably can.
There ya have it.
