Bit of a game recap.
Currently: Needing to be in bed!
The game the other night was AMAZING! My son’s team lost, but actually (even though they lost) had an unbelievable comeback within the last three minutes of the game. And they ran out of time! The funniest part of the evening? Okay, it was not actually funny, since someone’s car got hit with a foul ball, but……one of our batters hit the ball and it went way out of the park, dropping right onto the hood of someone’s car. And his daddy said “S’ok, son, it wasn’t mine.” It got a laugh out of me despite myself! I think the best part of all was that the referees weren’t making absurd calls like they have in some of the games. One time one of them called a strike on my son when the ball actually dropped way down and hit the dirt before it ever crossed the home plate. I swear I was so tempted to ask if I needed to go get my son some golf equipment to use instead of his baseball gear!
My sons are at their bio dad’s for the weekend, a day early. I am going out of town later this morning, and the kids will be missing all games this weekend. But this is the last time! I look forward to settling in to see what the rest of this season brings for our team!
