Everyone else is doing them; why not me?
Usually I am full of goals and good intentions this time of year, and more than ready to kick the current year to the curb. That’s because many of the past few years have…..well, sucked.
Not this year, though! This year did most certainly NOT suck. The first few months of the year got off to a really slow start. Not all that great, but certainly not bad. Then March rolled around with a
long-awaited new release from one of my very favorite bands,
Type O Negative.
The rest of the year was just simply wonderful, especially compared to years past. Here are my favorite moments:
In April, I met
and had loads and loads of fun with an amazing group of women who have quite literally changed my life. Only a few of you knew how absolutely horrible in every way I had grown to feel living here. I am so glad I finally met some girls to hang with! It has made such a huge difference in my life.
Around that same time, I met and became an instant fangirl of
these hot bitches, and now catch every one of their shows that I possibly can. I don’t see that changing anytime soon!
Then in May, I got to see
Type O Negative in Atlanta. At that point, I really could have died a very happy woman!
June saw lots of baseball and end-of-school-year activities, then in July I took
a totally out-of-this-world vacation with my best friends. It was my first all-girl vacay, and my first actual vacation in years and years. And now I wanna do it again this year!
In October, a friend and I went to see
Type O Negative in Atlanta again.
Since then, life has been a blur of eating, traveling, and visiting family and friends.
I can only hope for an equally amazing year in 08!
At long last I am here at home, at my desk, about to start work on a new theme mod for the blog. The boys and I watched the ball drop from Times Square, and I fixed myself an
Ink Drop…..a great way to ring in the new year!
I am enjoying myself tonight, because tomorrow it’s back to business. This will be my year to treat myself better, and take better care of myself. It’s not going to be easy, but I’ve had it with feeling rotten physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am going to do whatever I can to change my life for the better in every way possible.
Happy New Year!
Edit: My new theme is up! Same girl, but she’s dressed up just a bit. Different font and colors. You like? One of these days I really will branch out from black and pink!
