Poor baby :(
I’m way behind with this, but had to share…..even though it’s so sad. I love rays.
The female baby manta ray shown being born in this video (you can see the baby spread her fins and swim for the first time!) died after 4 & 1/2 days after her father chased and often slammed into her. Seriously. That’s one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard of. Wonder what makes this happen in the animal kingdom?
