In lieu of a real update…
Here’s something I stole from a friend at livejournal:

I try.

3. What talent do you wish you had?
Just one? I guess at the top of the large list would be being able to sew really well.
4. Favorite place?
My back deck. Especially on warm evenings, right about twilight.
5. Favorite vegetable?

Embrace the Night, by Amanda Ashley.
7. What zodiac sign are you ?
Virgo.
8. Any Tattoos and/or Piercings?
Ears are still pierced once, but my eyebrow grew up a while ago. Two tats, a cartoon devil on left shoulder, cartoon angel on right shoulder.
9. Worst Habit?
Bitching - her answer applies to me as well. I think debilitating pessimism is right up there with it sometimes, though.
10. Do we know each other outside of lj? The blog world?
Unfortunately, no
11. What is your favorite sport?
Roller Derby
12. Negative or Optimistic attitude?
Pretty much both….my attitude totally depends on when you catch me.
13. What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me?
Depends who I’m in the elevator with….I love discussing kids, music, movies, and home improvement. But if we’re stuck for a long time, panic would surely come over me at some point. So I guess I’d eventually be getting a beatdown from a more sane person.
14. Worst thing to ever happen to you?
Seeing my kids dealing with the shit they sometimes have to deal with.
15. Tell me one weird fact about you:
Ummm….I can’t stand my food to touch on my plate? But that’s not so weird.
16. Do you have any pets?
Yes, we’ve had many over the years. But now we’re down to our dog and my oldest son’s hamster and lizard.
17. Do you know how to do the macerana?
No, and I don’t want to. I hate that stupid song, to boot.
18. What time is it where you are now?
2:11 p.m.
19. Do you think clowns are cute or scary?
Neither.
20. If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?
I’d be in decent shape. I’m working on that, but I constantly sabotage myself.
21. Would you be my crime partner or my conscience?
Conscience. I know crime is tempting with some people, but I fear the repercussions too badly.
22. What color eyes do you have?
Grey.
23. Ever been arrested?
Surprisingly, no.
24. Bottle or Draft?
Bottle
25. If you won $10,000 dollars today, what would you do with it?
Pay off some debts (well, pay a bit down, anyway), finish my patio/outdoor living area project, build a storm shelter, get rid of the carpet in our house, finish my front porch.
26. What kind of bubble gum do you prefer to chew?
I don’t like gum very much, but if and when I do chew it I like spearmint, cinnamon, and regular bubble gum.
27. What ’s your favorite bar to hang at?
I guess wherever a good band is playing, cause I certainly don’t ‘hang’ at the bars anymore.

Yes

Read

31. Biggest pet peeve?
The family continuing to pile trash into an overly full trashcan. Take ONE minute and take that shit out if it’s full when you use it. DO NOT make me have to touch the fucking garbage to put some of it in a new bag (because if I don’t, it will fall into the floor beside the trashcan). If I catch someone doing this, I am going to dump the contents of the trashcan at their feet so they can pick that shit up and get it out of their personal space.

Overwhelmed
