I didn't make any resolutions this year.

And why would I, when I've usually broken them within a week's time? However, I am still setting goals for myself. I just decided to break it down into totally doable things, week by week. Of course, some goal-related things are a bit beyond my control, so they may not happen. But I'll just have to cross those bridges when I get there. But I have met my various small goals this week, and couldn't be happier. I hope to continue doing well with them, since the smaller goals, of course, are part of larger goals. And somehow, saying "I want to accomplish this, this, and this this week" instead of "I hope to accomplish this large-scale, life-enriching/altering goal, and this large-scale, life-enriching/altering goal, and oh yeah, this large-scale, life-enriching/altering goal, too, over the course of the year" actually makes goals seem more achievable. I wonder why it took me so long to figure this out?

goals, life
