Once again, I managed to neglect my journal over here for most of the year. I hope to do better with keeping up in the coming year! There won't be an end-of-year post from me, at least not right now. But that's subject to change on a whim. Instead, I think I'll just share some recent stuff from the blog, in case anyone's interested...

I'm still giggling after reading about this little old lady going for the balls!! And this one pulling a gun, too! I know the situations aren't funny, but can you imagine? You just know those stupid folks thought the elderly would be easy marks. And the blog I swiped these from is made of funny as it is. (If you're not reading, you really should be) Hell, I am glad to see these women defending themselves, whether by scaring the shit out of their attackers or crippling them.

First off, I won the Official Twilight 2008 Comic Con Inkworks card set from Middle Aged Fan Girl’s contest! These will look so lovely with the prints from my recently acquired Twilight Saga Boxed Set:
And…I may not be able to bargain shop for groceries and household goods worth a crap, but I can damn sure rock a thrift store! I got all this goodness for just under $13!

Vintage-y inspired Liz Claiborne snakeprint bag (I LOVE the closure!), $3, a silky, hippie-ish sequined small bag that is perfect for a slightly dressier occasion, $3, and a so-tacky-it’s-awesome Nine West faux snakeskin bag, including (as I found out after I got it home and dug around in it) matching coin/ID pouch, $4:
And, perhaps my favorite score, chunky Skechers Mary Janes, $1:
