Recent events have made me realise that if something's wrong with a situation, then;

Get rid of it

It's like cancer, just cut it out.

So thats what i'm trying to achieve with whats been happening. Eliminate the source, eliminate the problem.

I tried to help, but i soon realised that there really is nothing i could do.

You can't change the devil, the devil changes you. Someone said that to me the other day and it struck me as to how relevant it's been recently. I personally have been guilty of trying this.
