Bleh...

Here's my life in a nutshell:

Ryan's Workman's Comp has decided they randomly don't need to pay us anymore. We haven't been paid since April. Money is running out. Thanks to my super awesome and generous sister, we're not completely fucked yet, but we will be shortly.

Once I have proof of enrollment from my new school, I can go for a private student loan to carry us until Ryan knows for sure whether or not he has a job and we start getting our settlement. The good news is that they've offered us about $60,000. The bad is that we have no idea when we're going to see it.

In other news, because Ryan is super awesome and generous too, awhile back he cosigned for his buddy Dexter so he could get the engagement ring that his fiancee wanted. He swore it wouldn't become a problem. Except Dexter has a history of seeing cool shiny electronics and buying them whether he can afford it or not. Surely, we thought, he wouldn't do that now that his best friend's credit was on the line. We thought wrong. He went two months without paying it and didn't tell us. Now, in our hour of need when we went to try to get a personal loan from a bank, we couldn't because Ryan's credit score dropped about 100 points because the company who financed the ring reported RYAN as being delinquent. Thanks, Dexter. Thanks for fucking us over just like you promised you wouldn't.

What galls me the most is not that he couldn't make the payments for those two months, but that he DIDN'T TELL US. Can't pay it? FINE. We will, and you'll just owe us more money, but no. He just let it slide and let it be counted against Ryan's credit score. Selfish son of a bitch.

By the way, we gave him a $2000 loan a year ago that he swore he'd have back to us in a year. He literally avoided us for six months. We've seen MAYBE four hundred dollars. Don't forget that we ended up having to pay a good $250 for his late payments on the ring, when they started calling us. Yeah. THAT'S how we found out he wasn't paying it.

Ryan's more forgiving than I am. If I had it my way, I'd take the ring from him and sell it. It's a good two grand, and it would certainly help us.

::Sigh::

Oh yeah, and Devastator was showing signs of improvement for awhile, but now is becoming symptomatic again. We don't have any money left to take him to the vet. So now we continue with his medicine and hope he stays stable until this shit with Workman's Comp is straightened out so we can take him back to the vet. He has a digestive tract infection. He needs the injectable medication, which we can't give him ourselves.

So, that's Oni's life in a nutshell.
