I am finally starting to feel human again. It only took a week. My sinuses still hurt, but that's basically it. This is the first time I've been down this long with a non-bronchitis thing. I pretty much sat on my ass all day today. I'm still mostly energyless, so the house is a wreck because Steven also feels like butt. He has an abscessed tooth, so he's also doing the fever and pain thing.
SNL is all kinds of bad, already.
I did dye my hair today. It's interesting and I haven't decided if I actually like it or not yet. It was wet when I saw it, though, so I'm not really going to judge it till it's dried. Or till I take bad self portraits and let teh intarwebz decide. There is still pink in my hair from this summer. Seriously, I used semi-permanent dye. I've dyed my hair easier 7 or 8 times since then and two times have involved some fairly serious bleach. Really. They need to start making regular dye because it lasts longer than anything else I've used.
Steven came home and I promptly rushed him off to the market because we had essentially zero food in the house beside Kix and veg stock. We even ran out of soup yesterday, which made me sad. It made for an expensive trip, but we have a good week and a half of food, in addition to stocking up on some of the staples we'd run out of. And frozen fish. I can't seem to live without frozen fish. I really am trying to eat better and I'm good about 75% of the time.
Of course, I totally would live on takeaway if I weren't married to someone who cooks. It's pretty firmly established that it's best if I stick to baking and don't try to cook anything that doesn't involve the microwave.
I once again forgot all kinds of things I wanted, like mixed veg for the soup, so we have to go back to Bread & Circus tomorrow. I need to start shopping with a list again. I have a list on the fridge, but funny that, it doesn't help when it's home and I am out.
I did, at least, buy many delicious things. Holy muffin, I finally succumbed to the whole fresh ground peanut butter thing and just ...damn... I bought the honey roasted kind and it is so incredibly good. It is destined for my lunch tomorrow because I finally replaced our honey. I'm going to price compare, but I think it's about the same as crappy Skippy, which makes me sick anyway. I also bought almond milk for my cereal. I really wish this stuff had existed/been available when I did the vegan thing years ago. Not that I probably would have totally given up the cow, since I love it, but because I might have actually had healthy habits.
Looks like I won't get much done tomorrow, either. I should clean up and we need to do laundry. I really do feel like a bum because the place isn't clean as it could be. I suppose it can't be helped, though.
Oh, and in more weather win: it was cold and raw all day, it warmed up to 62* around 8:30, and the high tomorrow is 38*. It poured something wicked all day and now we're having wind that just knocked the cable offline. I can haz spring plz?
