Mmph

I'm so grumpy today and I really don't have any kind of good reason. I have reasons, but none of them are really justifiable.

I didn't get a chance to get my art supplies today. This makes me grumpy because I have a painting in my head that I really want out. I'm sure I'll be cranky when I'm working on it because I have such a clear picture of how it should look, right down to the colours I want, and it will be hard to make that mesh with the image in my head. Plus, I have another picture in the pipeline that I want. Both are going to be watercolours, which I haven't touched in ages. It's an excuse to start working up my portfolio, though, isn't it?

pinkandsilver, bosbullterrier, and I went to the magical land of Borders last night, officially because I am a fat kid and wanted a belly dancing video since until I find a paying job, classes are out. I is broke. I had a choice between the crazy twins and the slutty redhead; I went with the crazy twins since I've heard of them. I tried it out for the first time this afternoon and holy muffin, it kicked my butt. More correctly, actually, it kicked my arms. I have the weakest arms ever, mostly because I can only lift so much before my shoulders actually start pulling out of their sockets. It's also disgusting how much my joints crack and grind. Stupid arthritis.

Nicki and I spent a good amount of time both mocking current kids books and talking about the ones that we loved. I actually picked up copies of both The Westing Game and The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle since both of mine went by the wayside and/or fell apart from way too much reading.

Then, while I was running my mouth (what else is new?), someone came up to us and said they thought they knew us. It was one one of the kids, Chan, who used to work for us at Lids a million and five years ago. Turns out he's living the next city over from us. We spent a good two hours catching up on what he's up to (being very successful) and what we're up to (married) and made some tentative plans to go out for coffee in the next couple weeks. Nice to see my mouth is good for something. Even if I look different, I do still sound the same.

Then we mocked the State of the Onion address which is never hard. I will have to say it was nice to hear Madam Speaker. Time we finally caught up with the rest of the world, eh? Maybe the next thing we hear can be Madam President. And it will so be Laura Roslin. Hahaha.

I did nothing today besides prove that losing weight does not equal being in shape. I should call my mum because I haven't spoken to her yet. My great aunt is in the hospital, so I kind of also want and update on that. Steven's sleeping, so I had the last half of yesterday's sub for dinner because I don't cook. I had a Pop-Tart for lunch. I kind of also feel like I should be cleaning the bathtub because it's really grimy. Not that it would last if I did, which is probably why I'm not doing it.

I'm still loving the fringe. I finally have doing it down to a science, so I am only forced to wear my hat because of the frakking weather and not because I have no motor skills. I found my hobo gloves yesterday, too, so it's all around good. Now I just need to find where my paycheque went so I can cash it/pay bills.

Oh, so when did Tyra Banks become "fat"? Because I thought she looked really good, but perhaps I don't know anything.

day to day, exercise
