Another Day...
So again much time has passed since coming here. I re-found this site through this girl I knew in HS misshell and thought, shit, I'm unemployed now, why not.
Glenn's mom passed away and now we have her house. It's been rough trying to clean out her many years of being a packrat. I ultimately lost my last job last Wed because I took 3.5 days of "unscheduled" time off when she died...so fuck them. I applied for unemployment but had to file with NY state due to my working in the city for a long ass time and I guess the base year is from Jan/03 to Dec/03. Benefit rates are lower in NY which sux and they sent me a 15 question thing to fill out asking why I got let go from my last job. I thought maybe if I get unemployment I can suppliment my income by selling all this crap I have around me in both houses but ebay seems to be doing awful lately. Years and years of collecting vintage stuff that's weighing me down now has to be worth "something".
Good news is Glenn and I are getting married in October :) and we have much planning to do which has lately fallen on my shoulders, then again, what do men know about weddings. Our colors are black and red and I found a great "traditional" dress that's so simple at David's bridal. I was going to have my friend Patricia make me a dress but she went to Cali on holiday and I started to panic. I ordered black and red matchbooks for the wedding (am I the only one who still smokes? haha) that say "Always and Forever-October 22, 2004" which Glenn has tattoo'd on his chest (the always and forever part). I thought it was much cooler than getting our names. I think I'm going to make my own favors-black and red votive candles with alternating black and red tulle. My maid of honor Becky seems to be taking the ball and running with it. I swear I need that girl to manage my life. She's already got my bridal shower done and set for sometime in August. She said I can't make any plans for Sundays in August haha.
So much to catch up on. I'll try to be good and post often now that I have a bit more time. I gotta figure out how to make my pages all pretty and stuff with HTML. I still haven't figured that all out.
