overslept today because i went to bed late, but not AS late as usual. so much for leaving early to work my store and have someone else get the kids to school. my intention was to get a treat to C's schoolthis afternoon for his birthday. took a different route to the store because 95 was backed up allll the way from the first accident at the merge to the college on 17. then there was another accident further down 95, plus usual slowdown at JTB. yea, i wouldve never gotten to the store. anyway, i worked 5 hours on the concrete w/ old shoes and my back and legs are killing me. i got home to find my mother in law injured. she might never come visit us again lol. a toothpick was caught in the carpet (berber type w/ loop pile) and she walked RIGHT into it and it jammed into her foot. Well....there go more plans out the window. Called the ER on base, they registered her over the phone and we left. DH was home w/ roofers overhead replacing the old one that the storms knocked loose. YAY no more indoor waterfalls when it rains. So, we got C from school and went to the base. I went to the commissary while she was getting her foot gouged. Sum total of about 3 hours on base and we were finally heading home close to 8. I'm exhausted and my legs hurt. While dh was prepping for tomorrow's cookout, I was trying to straighten up the pantry and put away the food. MIL was talking to my sister...

MIL: I JUST TOOK 2 VICADIN AND 2 BEERS SO I'M KINDA BUZZIN

MIL: I'M HAVING A LITTLE DIFFICULTY FINDING THE KEYS
Sis: HAHAH! i love you!

I love my mother in law...she's so cool
