eventful week i guess
sitting here w/ my herbal tea 'sweet dreams' variety by bigelow.
lets see...worked both my stores friday. dh had the kids in the AM, then i had to get home so he could go to work. thankfully my brother was able to rescue me once again and keep the kids so i could work the other one. when i got over there, monkey was asleep on the couch w/ her feet up on the back of the couch. cute :) i used to lay like that on the couch as a kid too. so i hung around for a while and then sat on the couch. BIG mistake...i dozed off for a good while. However, i really was tired because i only got a few hours sleep thursday. dh stayed at the barracks to make a shorter commute to drill formation. plus saved some gas and drive time, equalling more sleep overall. he got home earlly enough today to take the lawnmower apart, only to discover, we cant get to the part needing fixing. we now need a 1 inch socket for a 3/8 inch ratchet handle so we can take the flywheel off and find the source of the rattle. he borrowed the neighbor's mower and at least got the hip high weeds cut to ankle height. some of the weedy things were as tall as monkey. between the odd work schedule and the mucked up mower, the grass in front has been neglected for 2 weeks. we also have moles in the yard. joy - turned ankles from sinking into the ground above a mole tunnel. i pulled some weeds while dh used the weed eater on the parts needing edging.
then around midnight, i was cleaning up and making tea. the freakin cover on the kettle was not tight and it came off as i was pouring the water. i now have a nicely steamed hand. thankfully that first aid kit has (well, had) burn cream in it. i was considering going to the ER. now i need to find a replacement thing of it. i'm falling asleep at the keys...off to bed.
